It’s a big boost for the Calgary Food Bank, just in time for the holidays. The Corporate Group of Allied Associates has donated 100 turkeys to the Food Bank. CGAA CEO Peter Singleton told City News the organization really wanted to help the community. “It’s something that is not just one meal,” he said. “It’s going to last for up to a week for some families; so it’s better than just giving money, I believe, and just one meal. It gives families food for the full week.” Singleton added the group had been collecting money at events since May, in an effort to make the 100 purchases.
